Believe it or not, this is a painting about rape. Despite myself, I find it rather pretty, but there is the problem. Abducting women is most definitely not pretty.
Which brings me to a point I'd like to clarify: I defined rape as forced penetration in my last post, but I did not by any means want to imply that penetration is the only form of sexual abuse-- there are a multitude of ways to violate somebody, and none of the are acceptable.
If only this painting was about a pool party, right?
